PNG Frames to GIF is a browser extension that converts PNG image frames into an animated GIF entirely on your device. We designed it so your files never leave your computer.
Data We Collect
We do not collect, store, or transmit your personal data or images.
- PNG files you select are processed locally in your browser.
- GIF encoding happens on your device using client-side JavaScript.
- No images are uploaded to any server.
- No account or login is required.
Local Storage
The extension may use your browser’s local storage (IndexedDB) temporarily while you work on a GIF. This data stays on your device and is not shared with us or third parties.
Permissions
The extension requests minimal permissions:
- storage — to keep frame data locally during conversion.
We do not request access to browsing history, cookies, or unrelated site data.
Third-Party Services
This extension does not integrate analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking. The open-source gif.js library runs locally for encoding only.
Children’s Privacy
The extension is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone.
